Toyota Corolla and Matrix Recall Information

Toyota Motor Corp. says it will recall about 1.1 million Corolla and Matrix models from the 2005 to 2008 model years to fix certain engine control modules, or ECMs, that may be defective. This marks the latest in a wave of recalls Toyota and its Lexus luxury division have conducted this year.

General Motors Corp. says the recall includes 199,163 Pontiac Vibe models from the same model years. The Vibe and Matrix are sister vehicles built between April 2004 and January 2008 at the former New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., or Nummi, joint venture between GM and Toyota.

You may recall we had the world exclusive opportunity to drive the brand-new 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2L V-8 under the watchful eyes of a large group of Ford engineers several months ago at their top-secret Anza Borrego testing facility. 2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster Review

The Nissan 370Z convertible doesn’t enter our garage on good terms. Last month, we placed it last in a comparison against BMW Z4, Audi TT S, and Porsche Boxster S. During Car of the Year testing, it didn’t make it past the first cut. We’ve chastised this Z for its coarse engine, abundant noise, and ride harshness. We’ve even made fun of the way it looks.
